The challenge of a redesign is it’s “seamless transition” from old to new. In this case the completed renovation makes tracing the original impossible, except for the identical footprint. This house is a complete transformation of a 60’s red brick, terra cotta tiled cottage into a well planned, light and airy, contemporary home. The introduction of daylight at high level throughout the living areas connects inhabitants with the outside, time of day and seasonal changes, whilst the light is focused on features of the interior.

Panoramic views are captured from both internal and covered external living areas over the Balmoral slopes, Middle Harbour and through the Heads.

Low maintenance external finishes include rendered masonry and weathered zinc roofing.
