Palm Beach 3

This new house is situated on a level site with westerly and northerly aspects. It was designed for a large family living in proximity of the beach and Pittwater.

Broken up into three pavilions and closely connected to gardens, courtyards, pool and covered deck areas, the spacious interior naturally flows to the outside. The architecture is light and airy, synonymous with ‘beach living’.

The floating eaves and sliding timber shutters, a mixture of stone, render and timber boarding are all familiar in the Palm Beach vernacular architecture and were, in this case, employed to achieve the desired scale and integration with its surroundings. This can only be enhanced with time and a gradually maturing landscape.
